Default Air pump delete Question????

I know there is a write up about it in the stickies, but did not find out about this.

Ok I took all the lines from the air pump stuff finally out from under the hood!!! It has been deleted for awhile but just now got around to making the block off plates. There is a what I think is a vacumm line hooked up to the Solenoid??? that I guess might regulate the air or what not. What did you boy's do with that line? Just leave it hanging or cap it off or what?? I really have no clue what the line is for. Please Help!

Thanks,
Jimmy

Nope, I haven't had the air pump on the car in about a year. I just had the lines running to the manifolds and that crap. I have had it deleted out the computer. Do I need to still pull the fuse?

I just blocked it off...if you ever pull the intake you can take out the t that is back there and get rid of it completely...

Ok I got the t-box already out of there. I just undid the line that was on top of it and took it out. The line that is hooked to the top of that is what Im wondering about.

Why would the fuse matter? The AIR is deleted... you'll throw a code and the only way to get rid of it is to tune it out.

Neither of my SS' have the AIR setup any longer. I'm planning to buy a '99 Z28 in the next week. I want to keep it a little closer to stock but still mod it. I want to eliminate the EGR and AIR to clean it up under the hood. I don't plan on doing any big mods on the car...keepin this one more of a driver. Will I need to get this tuned out?

As above, if you remove them you'll throw a code and have to tune it out. It did on mine and the others I have seen that removed the air and/or egr.

because it turns off the pump behind your drivers side headlamp assembly . . . btw to delete it you need to tune it out, simply removing it when you install a LS6 does not delete it at all tuning does does

why leave the pump in but go through all the trouble to pull all the lines and get the codes tuned out? do it right and actually save weight and pull the pump and the whole system. then leaving the fuse in won't matter one bit.
