You boys aren't looking at the big picture.... Not only do you get more power from this mod but you get about 2 mpg better on average. Sure the cost per hp is a lot but you will save a lot of money on gas especially with prices going up. To me it is totally worth it and i didnt buy it for the hp or tq increase. Oh yeah and if you do get the underdrive pulley get the alternator overdrive pulley... you will regret it if you dont.
If I was worried about fuel economy I'd drive a Geo
I don't know about 2mpg, but my car, with 340hp/348tq, gets 18mpg city and 22hwy on the way to the track. Then I bust off a 11.40 pass, and then drive back home. The underdrive pulley will help with mpg, as well as other mods like exhaust, intake, and throttle body.

I did mine when I rebuilt my motor, so I didn't notice a power change due to the motor making more power anyway. so I really can't comment on that. but if it was really not worth it, why are so many people doing it with no complaints?
