muffler delete stock ws6
Okay, i have the t/a in my sig and I am getting some corsa clone tips from slt200mph soon in the mail if the post office doesnt keep messing things up. Anyway, would it be a bad idea to have the shop put pipes in place of my stock muffler?
I have the stock manifolds right now and just got new cats put on under warranty so I dont think it will sound too raspy. how will the back pressure be affected? will it have less power this way? I was thinking the cats would keep the back pressure up and removing the muffler would give less restriction. they took a look and said 95 for !muffler and 5 for each tip to be welded up. I was planning on keeping the muffler incase I ever want to sell the car or selling it on here. Any advice is appreciated.

I'd say go with a cutout. You may want to place it in one of two locations.
1. Towards the front of the i-pipe
2. After the i-pipe but before the over-the-axle pipe.
Then just change the tips.

I had my muffler chopped off for a month or so, it sounded alright. Now I've got a bullet and turndown before the rear axle and it sounds VERY mean yet not too poppy. I'd either go with a cutout OR bullet and turndown before the axle. I love mine...
