Loud exhaust saves lives. And it lets your horn last forever. It's easier to push down with my right foot than to move my hand all the way to the center of the steering wheel.

I love open headers, people could here me half a mile away. My true duals now, are too quiet for me, so I am debating on cutouts but idk if there would be exhaust leaks with em.

I like this post! I'm old too! Some times I think my car is too quiet. Sometimes I think it may be on the loud side I really can't tell? I am going to go H/C but first I will remove my cats to make sure I really lie the sound of 1 3/4 Kooks through stock cats into Borla XR-1 center section no mufflers . I know when I am slowing down, no gas, it either scares people away, usually BMWs and mustangs but attracts ricers! They are like roaches. Some times other vette owners ignore me because they can tell that the car is not stock. Violation of one of the corvette 10 commandments I guess.

My car is loud as hell. TSP dumped + Cam = 390rwhp of extreme loudness

I'm not really worried about it being loud to me, the louder the better. I'm more worried it being loud to the police

I'm torn. On one hand, I would love to drive around and pull up next to an unsuspecting driver and have him think I'm pretty much stock. There is a guy around here with a stealth cam, stock manifolds and catback, etc, and he traps 114-115 but you can't tell there is really anything done to it. I think that's pretty badass.

On the other hand, I have a daily driver, and there's nothing more badass than a giant, loud burnout right before pulling up to the light, and then roaring down the track, especially in a car you drove to the track and can drive home.

I guess this duplicity of thought is why someone invented the electric cutout.

i cant wait to be loud, being a poor student i have to stick with my cutout for now but it does its job to give me my fix til the headers/cam arrive.

if youre worried about a leaky cutout just buy a manual one and tighten the hell out of the wingnuts... or just leave it open

I'm just a hop skip and a jump from the Norfolk Naval Base. They pull you over for anything and everything around here. I'm guessing you haven't heard about the motor vehicle fines, rediculous. Running a stop sign, $1,000.

I have SC plates, hopefully that is a deterrant. Everything on my car is pretty much illegal here in VA.

I know the majority of you won't agree with me and don't give a damm what others think of your lound exhaust, but here it goes. In my neighborhood there is a kid with a Mustang with a Loud Mouth exhaust. Just to be an *** he will leave everyday keeping the car in 1st for maximum noise. I have to live here and get along with my neighbors. I know most of you punk kids (defined as anyone under 25 living at home) don't give a **** what others think of you, but you should. It part of what's wrong with this country these days. I have a QTP cutout in my Borla and AFTER I leave the neighborhood it is open most of the time. I close it in drive throughs (too loud to hear) and going through residential developments to be courtious. Loud is good, but if your doing it knowing your pissing people off, it's not good. Besides...My wife and daughter aren't crazy about the noise. It's nice to be able to quiet the car down when I want to.

Definitely love the exhaust. Also great when you can dump it on a blown car, lol. Nothing like the sound of a blower whining in your ear, then the exhaust after you've passed!
