Wow....my Hooker cat-back sounded absolutely nothing like that! I can see why you think they sound raspy...that sounds like a pickup truck with purple hornies.

I really don't think the Hooker is raspy - it just couldn't kill the rasp of the ORY alone. Once I had cats, Flowmaster merge, and a Powerpack in the I, I found I could run my GMMG again. If I had the Hooker on with all that, it wouldn't have rasp.

Easiest fix is to go to muffler shop and have him weld in a 16 to 18" glass pack. I did this on one of my vehicles with long tube no cats and borla exhaust. It sounded awesome but was just to loud, addeda glass pack sounded the same but alot quieter. Only cost about $50 total. A glass pack will basically do the same thing as a high flow cat.
