Help, will 243 casting head work w/my cam Hey guys, I need ur input on this. I acquired a 03 zo6 243 casting heads & I like u guys to tell me if this cylinder heads will work with my cam. The cylinder head has a 3 angle valve job,dual coil manly spring capable of .0650 lift,seals,titanium retainers 1500 miles ago. I plan on porting the heads then install it on my 04 GTO A/T. Here is the mods to my car: comp cam xr 275 222/224,566/568,112 LSA. 2800 stall torque converter,stainless works off road headers,drag bags, slp rear sway bar,tune. 363 RWHP. I just started doing this & fairly new to this.
Since the springs on the head is capable of .0650 lift & the cam exhaust lift is 566/568, does this mean i am ok & there will no problem if i install this head on my car ? Does anyone know any good shop in Illinois I can have the head ported & get em checked out ?

With the cam you have and 2003 LS6 heads you are talking about with the springs youe are talking about I whould say with the lift 568,566 lift cam and not that much duration, I am assuming there stock and un decked (milled) I dont see any problem with that set up, I wouldn't be afraid to do it, I would go for it.
