Which muffler should i get?
Which muffler should i get? Im about to get sum american racing stainless steel race headers and there ORY and was wondering wht muffler yall like. right now i have stock manifolds and y pipe into a LM1 dumped. And ive had alot of people say that it will be nasty loud to run that with headers with and ORY. Ill probally keep it dumped but want to know sum ideas on mufflers. Ive been considering the borla XR1. Would it sould good with a Ory and dumped. I want it loud but not so nasty. I also might get a cut out but havent decide yet. I also thought bout staying stainless since the rest of the system is. Give me all ur opinions except for the ones who are goin to say do a search cuz i already did. I dont want a hooker or flowmaster. I want a good muscle car sound. I dont mind a little rasp just not to much.

People have different tastes and like different sounds. Some like, loud. Others, quiet. Exotic, or muscular. You jus' stated that you like a muscular sound so I wouldn't go with bullets. GMMG sounds nice but is a tad' expensive IMO. Borla is a no-no because it has a more refined, "exotic" sound to it. Flowmaster is a no-no too because it holds alot of power. So here's what I would recommend:
GMMG
H-pipe with Single-Chambered Flowmasters
I wouldn't recommend the following:
Magnaflow (Too quiet for my tastes)
SLP Loudmouth (Total crap, sound and quality)
Hooker (Flows great but sound isn't there)
Borla (Too refined)
Other than that, look for locals with different setups and check those out in person.

yeah i am the one who won those headers . i cant wait for them to get here. I listened to sum borla xr1 on true dual setups but couldnt find any on a ORY. I dont mind it bein refined just dont wnt it to be stupid loud since i got it dumped.
People have their opinions on what "stupid loud" means also. Before rushing into something, research bro. Listen to other setups IN PERSON. I don't understand how someone can listen to LS1Sounds.com and make a decision. They all sound alike to me.
