Default Ported LS6 Intake/TB or Fast 90??

Which would yall recommend? I know I'd end up spending a little more with the Fast 90/90 setup but wondering if it's worth it. So my options are buy a Fast 90 and a 90mm TB, or purchase a used LS6 intake, have it ported along with my TB. Which would produce more power and be better suited for my planned combo? I've got a T-rex coming and still shopping for a set of LS6 S2 heads, probably PP or PRC.

Get a Ported FAST 90. If you are doing both the cam and heads, then the FAST is a must. LS6 will be a bottleneck on H/C. I can't say I'm up to speed on the "Ported LS6 intake", but I'd have to imagine the FAST will still flow better, even an unported FAST.

The FAST, if you are on stock cubes with a big cam like that you will need the FAST. Especially if you are going for a 450+ hp head and cam combo, every little bit counts.

i don't know how you would get teh ls6 intake ported...but i will vote ls6 intake always unless there is a big cam/blower/nitrous set-up following it

LS6 intake is a one piece design,,unlike the LS2 intake, or FAST, (3 piece) There really isnt much of any material you could remove on the any of the 9 openings without screwing up a seal is there???

My bad, just assumed it could be ported. Figured it was along the same lines of a LS2 intake. Oh well then.

I voted LS6 and ported TB because they made nice power for me. Its the cheap route. If you have money and dont care, get the FAST 90 ported. I wouldnt get a non-ported unit since it'll give you only 7-10rwhp for 1250$...ported will get you 25-35rwhp on full boltons h/c..

just stay with the ls6 intake unless your going to have over 450hp the ls6 intake is good to 500hp so just save up for go fast parts then get the fast intake.

on a cam only 2002 Z06, we picked up 18 peak RWHP & 18 RWTQ on an unported fast over an LS6. Just thought I'd throw that in...

I believe New Era Performance ports them but the gain is marginal at best from what I've read. You are better off saving your pennies towards a Mamo Ported FAST 90/90 setup...

Why don't you consider a LS2 intake and ZO6 TB? then you would have a 90mm TB and manifold for alot cheaper than the FAST 90/90?

Place called LS2 port works ports the LS6 intake. The LS2 intake, in unported form, flows a lot worse than the LS6 intake from what I've gathered. Hope this helps.

There is a big difference between H/C and Forced Induction in the application of a FAST. FI would blow the FAST apart as it's a 3 piece design. Pretty much anyone who is FI has a LS6 or Weiand Metal Intake. A NA engine will benefit from a FAST everytime over a LS6 intake.

why go with LS6 heads. If you're gonna throw in a Trex why not go with some killer heads like AFRs.

I know the FAST 90 is a very capable piece; I did a lot of searches because I was planning to get one this summer. I thought that the little extra $$ for porting showed very nice gains compared to stock unit. But 18/18 gains is remarquable! It makes a lot of sense since ported one can give 35+rwhp.

I went for NOS instead...

Vengeance Racing does some too for around 200-300$(based on my searches.. ) and their port jobs showed really hot hp gains in every case. I was planning to buy from them but went another route.

if the hp gains doubles, I think its worth every $$$
