Default modifying the lower air box ?

i have seen a white formula and the guy cut part of the lower air box on a ram air formula for more air is that a good idea ? not only will it pull air from the ram air hood but also from the bottom of the air box he didnt have the FTRA metal box or one like it just a hole any ideas ?

I did that free mod, haven't noticed much, just a small whistle and maybe more throttle response.
Now my filter gets very dirty!
I change it every 2 months, and i just a basic paper air filter.

yeah i didnt read the other post and thats what they said that it gets the filter really dirty really fast

it cant hurt, the more air flow the better.

it doesnt hurt at all but be sure to check your filter more often or it will get clogged and slow you down.

Also takes in hot air from the radiator when stopped at a light or when stagging at the track, this in turn raises the iat temp sensor which might cause timing reduction giving a loss of power.
