Well...

-Corvettes have true duals, F-body's use a y-pipe setup
-Different muffler placement
-Different air intake tracks
-Completely different chassis harmonics

The two will never sound exactly the same. Even if you rip the entire exhaust off a Corvette from the headers back and attach it to an F-body somehow (which would never fit, ever), the F-body won't sound the same simply because of the chassis design. Sound waves will travel differently along the undercarriage just because of how the undercarriage differs. Sound waves will reflect off of different nooks and crannies under there. We won't even get into the different materials that make up different areas of the chassis.

In short, they sound different because they are two completely different cars It takes a lot more than just the engine used to make the cars sound the same.

If I could get my car to sound like a c5 with the corsa pace car edition (I think they call it the indy's for short) on it that would be fantastic. That is one of the best sounding cars I've ever heard. Expensive I'm sure but damn, well here yall listen to it:

I'm afraid if my car sounded like that I would be sportin a chubby everytime I beat on it.

Thanks, you too

That Corvette sounds way too high pitched to me. Some like it racy, some like it deep. I like my sound ground-shaking, not ear piercing. My car's not deep enough for me, which is why I one day hope to go TD's with an H-pipe and single chamber Flowmasters...right Jonas?

i have B&B bullets on my vette and i wouldn't trade it for anything.. my buddy has a SS camaro with texas speed true duals and it does sound good but it sits low under the car. i've heard plenty of cammed vettes and camaros and i like both but i like the vettes better. that just on own .02

I actually don't like the way that vette sounds... Corsa generally has a higher pitch sound I'm not too fond off.

I also like the sound of the corsa exhaust on the vette. That's one reason I got GMMG on mine, little higher pitched to me.

I am partial to my Longtubes/ORY and Borlamouth which is essentially a 15" Stinger/XR-1 muffler in place of the Loudmouth resonator. I am sure my CME tips change the sound a bit as well though.

I have an 02' 6 spd cpe. I am running 1 3/4 Kooks LTs through stock cats then a Borla XR-1 center resenator section and finally out through straight pipes. Soon I will remove the cats. I love the way my car sounds. I guess Its going to get louder when I delete the cats and go H/C. Having said that, I have herd some F bodys that sounded great. They sounded more like the muscle cars of the 60s. And I thought at the time "Why can't my car sound more like that". I guess the grass is always greener!
