Default Header ?

I have a 2000 Firehawk with EGR and want to do headers. The question is do I go with race style and !EGR and !AIR. I have a GMMG catback and have to go catted Y. Just wondering if it would be cheaper to go this route and have the codes tuned out? Or am I better off just going with a set with provisions and saying screw it?

My advice is get the emissionless LTs and have them tuned out. You have to be tuned inorder to really see the full potential out of them anyways. If you get the AIR/EGR style, if you eventually rip them off, then you may have trouble later on. The welds on the flanges for them have been known to break off when you block them I guess from trapping hot exhaust in it. When i ripped them off my 99, it cleaned up the engine bay a little and didn't really effect gas mileage or anything. Just my opinion though.
