Default True Duals Over the Axle: Different Approach

I've looked at different ways of running duals over the axle, and I came across this setup from an old thread. Has anyone tried this setup? If there aren't any issues with the panhard banging the pipe over bumps, this would give more ground clearance than running both pipes on the passenger side of the driveshaft tunnel. Any experiences?

Their kits free up more space on the pass. side of the axle "pumpkin". You only need the relocation kit to run true duals like this:

I want to run mine like the car shown in my first post so I can tuck the pipes higher up in the driveshaft tunnel. Plus this approach would be cheaper.

upper panhard rod support Well, not "relocate" it, but it replaces the upper rod with BMR's or UMI's rod that is bent differently to free up more space.

Here's mine, similar setup.
Click pic for rest of the set.
You still need room on either side and will want to "relocate" the wire pack on the drivers side seat well. Also need some heat wrap for the brake lines that go over that side aswell. Clearance is still pretty tight, so you'll need a skilled pipe guy to get it through those clearances without banging on the serious bumps.

Mine bangs some now as it is. Its tough, those clearances are small, I'm only 2.5" over the axle too.

probably sounds like SLP's Loudmouth, only I bet it sounds a little better, maybe even a little thicker sound to it instead of only being completely raspy when not at WOT.

I will take some pics tomorrow for ya. The only prob I had was i got it done before i lowered it. Then when I lowered it. The driverside pipe melted my abs wires so I had to resplice them and move them away from the exhaust.

Was the only reason you did it like that to fit the mufflers? I'm wondering why you had the pipes switch sides before they exit?

Cause I thought it would look cool,..seriously.
The guy I had do it kindof wanted a challenge too so we went with it.

It was either that or straight out, which would also have worked with those glasspacks.
I actually might remove that whole section at the flanges and go out the back without the mufflers cause right now its really pretty quiet.

Here is how I did mine. Not finished yet but you get the idea. It will be coated and v bands will be installed.

I also started it last night to see how it would sound as is. It will be 100% this friday. Then I will grind all the welds smooth, install the v bands and put it back on to make sure it doesnt leak. Then off to coating.

This is how quiet it is. Mind you this is a 402 with the aps twin kit.
