Getting 210 miles on tank of gas....
i'll continue the thread. 210 miles for a tank is awful. I"m getting 250+ with alot more HP and alot more fun driving the car. 6th gear cruising on highway is great!!! I took a cruise few months back and drove it about 150 miles. gauge was still reading in between 3/4 and 1/2 and I was going WOT alot.
I'm barely getting 180miles out of a tank. More than likely it's my tune, mods are: 233/238 lsa 112 bullet cam, pacesetter LT's, 3" ory, borla catback, slp lid, 3500 stall, 4.10 gears. A/c delco plugs, msd wires, bosche o2 sensors.
I got about 16 mpg with my 01 auto z28, now I get 14-15 with a few mods.
The best I ever got was 23 at 80 mph for hours on a somewhat long highway trip.
16 gallon tank at 15 mpg is 240 so unless your car is heavily modded you aren't looking at good mpg at all? I never run my car past 180 miles on a tank, when it gets low its hard on the fuel pumps.

Before my pcm went out on the Camaro, I used to get close to 30mpg highway. Once it was replaced, my speedo was way off and I get maybe 15mpg no matter how I drive, always 210-225 miles per tank. Tried a mail order tune to fix it, but didn't work so idk wtf. Car still mostly stock.
WS6 gets ~20mpg with a mix of city/highway and a quite a few 0-60 pulls

This is with a cam and longtubes. wow 30mpg is really great. hard to believe but i guess possible if driven perfect. this means your getting over 400 miles per tank??
LS1 with Bolt ons, 3.73s and 6 speed I used to get average 14-15mpg... with highway and city driving 50/50.. however I did almost on a daily basis hit minor traffic as well as my driving habits were going WOT daily.. considering that, on a full weight car.. 14/15mpg is not that bad....
Now (w tune and 402 500whp camaro) I get about 11-12 mpg combined city/hwy, again never able to avoid hwy traffic and going WOT daily... the best I got was driving 80% hwy/20% street and still wasnt able to avoid traffic, i got almost 20mpg.. w 3.73s..
Now, the best mog I got was driving from Los Angeles to Lake havasu AZ, going avg 80-85mph (I think I had 3.42s at the time still), but I did have my windows open for a while and I did go WOT a few times and had a 200lb passenger! I got 27ish mpg and 29mpg on my way back from AZ...
So 29/30mpg is a reality!

i was also getting 30-31 mpg stock and with couple of bolt-on, 2002 6speed and 3.42, that was on trip an knew i was going to check my mileage, driving highway at 65 mph at 1400rpm, that all gone now with my 402, will recheck when they get the tune right.
Well still didn't get it retuned but I just got 217 miles on 13.29 gallons of gas, half were hwy miles, 1/4 was at the track and the other 1/4 was city driving lol. I'm pretty happy with 16.33 mpg for now considering my mods.
