Also I wouldn't necessarily say that the XS/LPP or whatever name they are going by these days are bad headers either. For what 95% of the people here use them for they are fine.
i dont think they are xs...if u look at the other pics of the flanges and bends..the welds are actually quite good. compared to the ebay ones and such where u can see some 3 yr old in a concentration camp welded it. and 1+ on the slp sucks motion.i like slp for alot of things but when it comes to headers ..you have a hell of a time installing them especially the driver side..and they arent all that good either...god bless hookers with tattos and gunshot wounds
QTPs I'de secound the QTP headers too, Actually in my opinion I think the QTPs are a better header then the SLPs You actually might have screwed the other guy!!!LOL!!Go figure

At the end of the day, you did end up with better headers than SLP headers. SLP's hang too low and are overpriced for what you get.
I'd just grind off the turndowns and install. They kinda look like QTP's but something's a little off with them that think of XS headers.

Those are not the same headers. The primary tubes are tighter/closer together by the collector on the XS. If you look closely you'll see what I mean. And I think you came out good w/ stainless headers for 200 bucks. Those will be alot easier to install and make the same power or more than SLP's. As far as cleaning them... take some steel wool to the outside w/ some 409 if you wanna shine them up, but don't waste your time on the inside.

i think they look pretty good. I wish i could have gotten a set of stainless headers for $200. I got the ceramic coated pacesetters and they are starting to show signs of oxidation.

I don't see what the argument is. I recognized them right off the bat. They are, hands down, XS headers. I had a set of these on my camaro with the same smog provisions. XS headers don't have shitty welds. A statement like that is said to those who haven't seen them in person.
The picture above illustrates this perfectly. The used set is the now discontinued on road application headers. The shiny new set is a new header they have which is the off-road version. The off road headers have been known to have clearance issues on the passenger side. Perhaps that would explain the very minor difference between the two.
