Default FAST 78 Question

I have 78mm FAST intake the car is irratic and sounds like sucking air. Is it a good idea to trash the rubber gasket where top and bottom meet and just silicone it up good?

Where is the sucking coming from? Did you just install it? If so you need to switch out the valley bolts. It will not seal up correctly if you keep the stock ones.

I used the valley bolts that came with the fast black hex head with washers.

Was it new or used? If it's never been apart, you shouldn't have to worry about the halves sealing. Did you check all the vacuum lines?

it was new. I checked all vacume lines. It may have been the MAP sensor, but anyways I took it apart, the MAP is new but it had a good whistle to it, the quetsion I have is would it be alright not to put the o ring in and instead seal it with some hi temp silicone?

I'm shure it would seal problem is that if you put too much on and it pushes out then you might have peices of junk going inside your engine which I wouldnt feal comfortable with I'd just use the oring.
