Default do i need a new y-pipe?

well i'm finally goin the longtube header route! i know i said i wanted to stay smog friendly but i found a set of pacesetters for $100 so i'm pickin em up this saturday can i use my SLP y-pipe or do i have to get a cutsom one made? i know the lt's push everything back so why can't i just cut my i pipe so everything fits front to back? or is it the positionin of the angle of the y-pipe the reason why i can't use it on the pacesetters?

i dont see why retrofitment would be a problem... i had to fit my y on my truck... only took off about 1/2" on each side...and this was with pacesetter headers...i dont know how slp's collectors look because i dont do fbods... but should a be similar!!! hope this helps.
