Yeah the DR's would be a granted if I did a stall converter, 2.0's on 245-16 60 dollar each tires is nothing to be ashamed with at the moment though

I appreciate the input though

I ran 8.90 with 2.73's A4 with lid and catback only. Then did headers and ran 8.6. Then did stall and gears and ran 7.8. Never did 1/4 mile though but you're right there.

First time taking it to the track, got like a 2.06ish 60ft. I think its a decent run for the crappy gears, what do you guys think?

I've got the 125 shot ready to go also, can't wait.
get a stall.... you will cut a ton of time off.. best mod to date for me. and change the gears out.. 3.73's or 3.42's. and yes your times sound right

sweet, I can do the stall converter and rear main seal at the same time... and hopefully pick up a cheap 6speed rear end that already has 3.42's in it. sounds like a nice daily driver gear, not to mention the huge difference from the disgusting 2.73's hah. I'm glad theres a couple of people who feel my pain with those. I love telling people at meets and such, they sometimes can't even believe it.. "Are you sure you don't mean 3.73's? haha

a cheap 6spd rear end might not last too long, they go out much faster then a rear end from an A4 car.

Is it such a good idea to run DR's with a stock, shitty 7.5" 10 bolt? I don't think so!

theres 10 bolts in automatics in the 10's.

auto cars are far far less stress on a 10 bolt I wouldnt have any qualms about running DR's on a auto 10 bolt.

6 speeds are a different story.

Mine ran 13.1 at 108 COMPLETLY stock, but mine is a 6spd and an 01. That does sound pretty good for a 2.73 auto though.

My personal advice from previously owning an auto Fbody would be go straight for a Nice converter and tranny cooler. I picked up more ET on my old LT1 auto by swapping to the Vigilante converter than I did from Cam and Headers. FWIW

Put a stall and headers w/dr's and you'll easily be mid/low 12's
