Default Track times sound about right?

I've got a stock (with LID) 98 Camaro Z28. Automatic with 2.73's

I pulled a 13.6 @ 103 on a pretty humid night.

First time taking it to the track, got like a 2.06ish 60ft. I think its a decent run for the crappy gears, what do you guys think?

I've got the 125 shot ready to go also, can't wait.

sounds about right to me! I ran 13.6 @106mph with only a few boltons, but my 60' was way worse so that's why my ET was bad

14.0 @ 101 in 80 degree air with 2.73s in my 98 TA with just a lid... sounds good to me. Change the gears to 3.73s, I dropped to a 13.3 @ 105 with a 20 degree drop, same 60s

My friend ran 12.9 off the showroom floor in his anniversary TA. 6 speed. on the bfgs.

is your car auto or manual? The 98s had less power though. im sure your times are on par.

oh its an auto. times are fine

It's a 125 dry shot that I will use about 5 times a year at the track. I put in colder plugs, I'm sure it will be fine

Thats great to hear. I know the gearing is what KILLS it. I ran 95% of the track in first and second gear haha, it barely shifted into third. The car falls flat on its face at the top of every gear.

that sound right on. a lot of 3.23 cars run 13.3 or so. you can pick up a lot from a gear change

Along with some DR's, mid 12's are possible.

exactly! Cant wait to throw LT's and a nice cb on, along with a ls6 intake and have it dyno'd and tuned. Should be in the 12's in good air. Not bad for a few bolt ons.

Yep, that exactly what my bone stock WS6 auto ran. Put some gears in it and your times will drop like a rock.

Like said before... Not going to do any good unless you have traction. Getting some drag radials will save you alot of headache.

I use the stock rim with a 255/50/16 MT DR, I have hooked the 1.45 60' in my sig. Pretty cheap and has lasted me 30-40 runs and ~2 years. A good 60' is very key to getting your mid 12. If you are real serious, take off the front swaybar as well.

12's are possibility without even changing the gear. I ran 12.7's 106 mph 1.69 60' with a cat back, lid, 3600 stall, no front sway bar, and mild weight cutting on some Bias Ply ET streets... that was with 2.73 gears.

since then I have LT headers cut more weight, tuned with HPT and a wideband, and 3.73 gears... ran 12.5's @110 with crap 1.8 60's. Just need to get the 60' back down and it will be low 12's. so yeah... mid 12s are doable for sure .. low 12's if you cut weight. Like waterbug1999 said its all about 60'.
