If you can make 100 hp off a 300-400 dollar upgrade sign me up. I heard that it was about 15 hp.

I'd believe 10-15 HP, and about the same in torque. My dyno went up from 298HP to 306HP and 315ft/lb to 325ft/lb but at the same time I went with a heavier LS7 clutch which lost me some torque and HP.

In a nutshell, it's worth it. The gains will be higher if you factor in cam/headers/heads etc over a LS1.

Id recommend a tune with an LS6 intake. When i went for a retune for mine, it had leaned it out significantly.

As a good rule of thumb of MOST LS1's, the only ways to get 100 rwhp with one mod are nitrous, turbo or a supercharger. A cyclone, turbonator or strategically placed racing stickers will also net just short of 100 (HAHA!).

In all seriousness, you should see around 10 - 15 rwhp from swapping to the LS6 intake and the bulk of the gains are going to be up higher in the powerband.

I picked up about 9-10 with the LS6 with 224/228 cam and all bolt on's with 4.10 gears and a tune. It will be my next mod on this one too.

Your friend also might want to check out ebay for some electric superchargers. I hear they're worth 500-600 hp.

For the money their worth it IMO, but 1200 for a 90/90 is hard to swallow unless your looking for every horse.
