It runs awesome. I am beginning to think that everyones problems are a result of poor installs. I have had numerous items on numerous cars that people say are junk, and they had fitment issues and they had leak issues and when I install them I dont have any problems at all. I have even redone items on my own car that I paid others to do(that they couldnt get to work) and have gotten them to work fine without issue, first try.

Maybe I am just lucky, but I am not lucky in anything else, so I kinda think it is just quality workmanship on the install more than anything, not the product itself.

Are you guys using their throttle body too? Seems like such a good deal. I actually think the heat soak is not as much of an issue as people make it out to be.

heak soak? Man does everyone not know that all cars from the beginning of TIME had some sort of metal intake manifolds on the dam thing. I mean yea it gets hotter but cmon, you're talking about an engine here its supposed to get hot (uh internal combustion). Anyways i think the plastic intake is a good idea when you think about something that performs somewhat better due to temperature in some conditions, and is eco-friendly being plastic and all, PLUS its CHEAPPPPPPP to make by a manufacturer (ie. GM, and now Ford). Anyways plastic vs metal can go on and on, but think about when you spray or boost your car to say 500hp or much more, and you have a little "hiccup", i dont think 'plastic' will like that very much. If you dont believe so, check out some nitrous backfire stories and see if your lovely plastic intake survived done with my mini-rant

id take a fast setup over the "professional" setup any day. most nitrous backfires are from improperly set up systems.

Yeah, most people would but at $150 for the Professional throttle body and $350 for the intake it is a real bargain. I just dynoed again after installing the intake. The differance from my old cam 228/232/551/551/112 to my new cam 230/234/598/602/112 and just this intake and throttle body the car made 380rwhp before and now it makes 410rwhp and the torque is up 10 as well. So you tell me. I am running shitty heads and the bottom end is a 98 with 122k on it, so I am happy. The install was easy as could be, and it sealed right up and looks cool as hell. Absolutely NO problems, and it smoothed out a choppy idle I had with the WS6 intake before.

Check out my fquick for a few pics.

For an additional $1000 it would have cost to go a differant route, I will save it and get some heads. I guess you have a lot more money than most of us have to spend on mods. When a bargain intake comes along that costs less than an LS6 intake, but produces more rwhp, then we are happy.

If I took your attitude on everything, I would still be sitting with a stock car because I would have never given the bargain brands a try and I cant afford the big dollar stuff like you must be able to.

They also had carburetors, only lap belts, manual brakes and steering, and AM radios.

oh, and a little nitrous will take care of any "heat soak" issues.

No, that particular item has been proven to be a waste. The only actual numbers anyone has ever posted on this Typhoon intake have shown horsepower gains. Everyone else that bitches about it has not actually tried it themselves.

Your logic doesnt make any sense. If I had money to waste, I wouldnt have ever even put anything on this engine. I would have started with a 408, or a super low mileage engine and shoved a supercharger under the hood. The power per dollar on my mods are pretty good.

Did you overpay for your car too, or just your mods? I paid $3600 for the car and have around $3000 in horsepower enhancing mods. If I had your mentality, I would have $15000 in mods, and have 30 or 40 more rwhp if I were lucky.
