ASP pulley is on, runs hotter
Did you get a shorter belt? the asp is smaller than stock and possibly your belt isn't short enough? thus causing the water pump to not cool properly?
at a given head pressure. The head pressure (pre-
pulley) is whatever it needs to be, to make the
thermostat "setpoint" (not a very sharp transfer
function, there). Now to have the same net heat
removal (with a cold-enough-not-to-matter
radiator tank) you need the same coolant flow, but
you don't have that. To regain flow, the
thermostat will have to open slightly more
(presuming it's in charge of things). For that
to happen, the temperature needs to be higher.
How much? Dunno. But some bit for sure.
Then again, it's summer too. Do you have any
ECT readings before & after? Be interesting to
put numbers to it. My gut, from looking at easy
and hard running, makes me thing it shouldn't move
more than 3-5 degrees but that's just what my
ECT range is.
