Removing A/C how hard?

Removing A/C how hard?
I want to remove my A/C, I am tired of my car getting way too hot driving around town. I'm running S/Ced so my stock fans are gone and I have a different set up that doesn't do too well on 100+ degree days.
How hard is it to remove the whole system i.e. condensor, compressor, lines and brackets? About how long will it take to do this out in the driveway?
Do I have to plug/cap the a/c lines inlet/outlet on the HVAC box on the firewall? And will I get any codes by doing this?
Thanks,
Jeremy
PS I never use my a/c, so getting rid of it is no big deal

Re: Removing A/C how hard?
Should help a lot, my fans are dual FAL 12 inch fans that are in there own shroud, they are sitting on the condensor in a "pusher" fashion. I have them wired to turn on high when ever they come on, but get into the gas a couple of times or get stuck in traffic and they still have trouble bring the temp back down. At least with the condensor removed, there will be more room to push the radiator foward and put the fans on the back of the radiator(swap the fan blades so they are pullers) in a puller fashion. This will help cool the car a lot better. I will post up if it works or not. I got some help coming, hopefully we will have it done in a couple of hours.

Re: Removing A/C how hard?
I took a little longer than 30 minutes but I work pretty slow too. I used rubber vacuum caps to cap off my lines going into the evaporator. I have removed the condensor and everything from under the hood for a 32 1/2 pound weight savings.
No SES lights but then I have programming so I don't know if you would get and SES light or not.
I'm sure your engine will run a little cooler without an ac but to really help you need a thicker radiator. I bought a Go/Dan Industries 432399 from my local O'Reilleys parts store. It is .4 thicker than stock. That really cooled my engine down.
