Let me know how that goes.. I want to do that too but i am putting the car away for winter here shortly

I just did that, I put in a Magnaflow bullet muffler, and it helped A LOT. It helped eliminate the rasp and now I don't sound like I'm driving 100 when I'm actually cruising at 35

Can do! I'll be putting it on this weekend so I will try to take it out and get a sound clip if the weather isn't shitty. The forecast looks like rain.

Mine has American Racing LT Headers, Catted Y, and GMMG. I had the car tuned today. Here is the final dyno run.

With a ls6 intake and a TR224, it put down 402hp and 385ft/lb

True, I have a touch of that... but with the SS3600 stall anything over 1/3-1/2 throttle throws me well out of the 2,000-2,500 area where it likes to do it at.

Anything less then 1/3 throttle and it's not near as loud anyways.

With a manual I could see it being a little more of a nuisance...

I just can't see myself hacking up my GMMG. I'd probably put cats in first, and if it still bothered me sell it and change catbacks to a magnaflow or hooker. I'm sure when I get a little older (maybe i'm 28 now ), i'll want a quiter setup.

I have GMMG cat back, Kooks long tubes w/o cats. I need to post a sound bite. Very loud, pops when shifting. I love it. I don't think my neighbors are in love with it. I'm a volunteer firefighter and I wake up the neighborhood at all hours. At least they can't say they didn't hear me coming.

GO FOR IT!

GMMG is an awsome sounding exhaust..... some like the rasp, some don't. I drive alot of highway so my 4.10s help get me out of the range but it is very noticeable whne I drive it more than 2 or 3 times a week. But I'm still in my punk kid phase (21) so I like it.

Well I got the 30" chambered muffler put in the i-pipe and it really made a difference. I put mine in "against the grain" and it really got rid of alot of the rasp.

Before:

After: (the weather was crappy and the camera doesn't help either but you get the idea.)
