i was thinking about doing this to my SS. Anyone feel a difference or is it not worth the trouble?

i doubt that is worth the trouble, plus it looks funny, get a fast toys ram air and seal that factory stuff off

yeah i have the FTRA. Seal it off? Are you talking about the opening in the front for the air from the "ram air" hood? (ram air my ***....)

That would not net any performance gains. FTRA will work much better. But if you wanna do it go for it, and let us know how it feels on the seat dyno

I figured it wouldn't do anything, its one of those "every little bit helps" mods...but if i do it I will definitly give my .02

hell no dont do that.
I put a SSRA and its alot better then the stock, I like the looks of the hood but it dosent work that well at all.
