Default spohn solid mounts - cracked block?

First off I have done a search, and read a lot on this subject. Yes I know there will be vibration and taking out the clutch will be a little extra work. I really like the idea of shaving of 20lbs by using spohn solid motor mounts, nevermind the extra $$. I read through all the speculation from all the people who are hating on the solids. What I want to know is does anyone have any proof, or have ever seen a motor get damaged from solid mounts. I don't want people saying "oo yea i heard that could happen" I want actual proof. Please only reply if you have first hand knowledge. Thanks!

I have first hand knowledge that my block isnt cracked and I've been running them for 2 years. I didnt weigh them vs. the factory but it didnt seem like a 20lb difference, maybe 10

I have been running the spohn solids for about 4-5 months now and have had no ill effects. I'm making mostly stock power but I've had them through most of a MI winter with the cold-hot cycles and the block is still good.

Whats the benifit to running the solid mounts other than weight? Do the factory mounts break a lot or what? If you making basicly close to stock horse power whats the benifit?
I have a 69 nova also and it makes close to 700 hp na and 1000 on nos. I ran solid mounts on it and kept twisting the mounts and breaking them. I switched to motor plates now.

I daily drove my last Trans Am with spohn solids on some horrible streets (potholes and such) that gave some serious jolts and never had any issues.

When I need mounts for my Firehawk I will use the spohn solids again.
