Default need to quiet down my true duals alot

I have Pacesetter LT's, no cats, and 12in bullet mufflers dumped. I need to make it really quiet and not spend alot. The reason is my HOA.

The shop that built my duals suggested that I switch to 18in bullets and extend the duals under the axle to the rear. I am just not sure if that will be quiet enough. I was also thinking of keeping my current bullets and adding another pair of 12in bullets in the extentions to the rear, but not sure how it will sound with 4 mufflers. What do you guys think?

I've got 4 bullets in my duals and its quiet as hell.
People have commented on how smooth it sounds.
I also have cats though, those will quiet it up a touch, which I thought a shop wouldn't touch a car without cats?

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm currently running 12" spiral flows. I'm thinking about switching to 18" twisters and some magnaflow 59959 cats. I already have it run out the back. I'm more annoyed by the smell than the noise though.

toss some mufflers on. I put some 3 inch mufflers on mine since my TD's go over the axle and out the back.

At the low RPM, there's a nice bass tone to it. Not loud. At WOT, she screams out the back. Better for it to be aimed at the traffic behind you than enduring it for long drives in the car with you.

I think the most cost-effective method would be to extend the pipes out the back, and add a dual muffler at the back as well, leaving your bullets.

Hint: There are a few in the FS Section for not too much $$

Here's the quietest setup I can think of: longest Mangaflow ovals (the thinnest you can find on Summit) after the X pipe that you can fit, then run it under the axle into 2 Hooker Aerochambers (probably the 18" ones). That should be nice and quiet. I would do that now but I don't have the $$$ and my Dynomax Ultra Flos are relatively quiet so I'm just gonna stick some magnaflow ovals after the X.

the standard magna flow 4x9s should do the trick.

they quieted my cammed motor down alot.

search my name, i've posted vids with straight pipes and then with mufflers....comparison is drastic...you almost can't hear the car run with the mufflers on.

Do you mean some magnaflows in place of my current bullets or add them in the rear?

Unless there is a strong tail wind it's terrible when I'm stopped. If I back my car into my garage my eyes start burning and watering. My cam does have a decent amount of overlapt to it so I'm sure that plays a role in it.

running 3" TD's no cats.
i usually only drive in 2nd and 3rd in my neighborhood if its in the "quiet hours". but them telling me to tone my car down is like me telling anyone with a loud annoying dog to have its voice box removed. f**king dogs barking all night :shakes fist:

Hey why not just get those cone inserts, that you can probably put in the bullets, should tone it down a bit. There not that expensive.
