Awesome heads!! I may go with a set. Great low/mid lift #'s. TEA has a good CNC program for them. Keep in mind you need to run an aftermarket roller rocker with these heads. YT ultrlights would be my choice. AFR and ETP are also nice heads to consider.

Trick flow heads are some of the best performing aftermarket casting on the market.

price plus the cost of the roller rockers they require....usually excludes them from discussions of "budget builds"

you can do similar with a much cheaper set of heads.

some ported LS6 heads with a TSP torquer 2 or Futral F14 and bolt ons and you should be pushing 440 rwhp with ease. throw on the FAST 90/90 or wait for the intake coming this spring and you'll be over 450rwhp

thanks alot guys, yah i realize that the trick flow heads are a bit more expensive, but im not in a rush for this project, i mean i want to save as much money as i can but i want the best possible build that i can so i will prolly go with the trick flow heads with the fast 90/90 set up, 450 hp to 500 hp is the range that i want to be at, alot of good info, haha i dont really know why i said budget either, i really just want to go with great quality parts.
thanks alot guys

I hope you are being facisicous. If so, shame on you for not being more obvious. anything in low 230s is midrange. 228/230 112lsa is a good cam.

i wish more people on the board fully disclosed just how big an "drivable" some of their cam recommendation are. i chose the ls6 cam because i was afraid of losing drivability and street mannors. my mild cam with low dyno numbers still has a 5700 rpm peak horse power. so when all you people are giving your 2 cents please include where peak tq and peak HP are! a med cam is the tr224. anything bigger well ,you live with big HP and a car that doesnt idle nice. thank you.

Doesn't about everyone want a choppy idle when they do a cam swap?

plenty of people want more HP than stock but still have a car that works as a daily driver if nessesary. not everyone wants a dragstrip killer. (a garage queen!) theres always someone faster, never forget that. plus are you going to buy a car thats totally radical if you need a daily driver? not a chance, i say dont build a car so wild that noone would buy if you had to sell. but i'm a older guy with one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel!
