MAF adapter
Ok. So I did a little research. MAF have or had the screen due to the way its set up on the trucks and GTOs. The screen is there to straighten the air flow. So de-screening it would not hurt. Now will I have to re-tune for this? There is a pigtail adaptor for a truck 85 CFM MAF to fit F-Bodies. Guys any input would be appreciated thanks
I put a 85mm '04 Z06 MAF on my car. My tuner had the table in his HP Tuners files. You will need that and the 3-5 pin wire harness. Pace Performance has them in stock for a tad under $30 shipped. They are made by Caspers Electronics.
Casper's also sells a bare pigtail if you want to go to a
permanent, cleaner harness (soldering involved). That
is a bit cheaper. I used to have the Casper's plug-n-play
adaptor in there but cleaned it up when I did the manifold
swap. You do need to tune. I run a descreened truck
MAF and use a Z06 table in the tune file; before the cam
I used the truck table but it ended up a bit richer after
that swap. The factory 85mm tables are a good starting
point.

Thanks guys I was reading your inputs on other treads that you guys had shed some light on. Ok so what exactly is the benefit from going to this size MAF? How does it affect A/F and performance? Thanks again for your input. Be the way, mine should be coming in pretty soon.
