Default Plugs for 11:1 compression?
Im using a big cam with 11:1 compression. Which plugs would be better, the NGK TR5/55 or the TR6 and whats gaps?

Carl, TR6s gapped at .045" seems to work well. This is the only plug I used for every setup I ran.

no power difference from the TR5s? I felt like I had a power loss when I went to the 6s for N2O on my last motor?

TR55's here too.

I tried TR6 before heads and cam, gapped at 45 and lost gas mileage and 6rwhp. Got it all back switching back to TR55's.

TR6's can be helpful if you have poor gas or knock during the summer.

Cool, Ill try the TR55s and if I start to ping, Ill put in my TR6s. Its pretty nasty here this time of the year.

i went to the parts store up the street and asked about the tr55's and there were like different kinds.. he told me they were platinum plugs?? also are they just the plain tr-55's or do they have additional letters or numbers like tr-55j or tr-55 l
