Default help !! please

i got a new thermostat and tried to put it on and it was the wrong one and i put the old one back on there and put coolant in it and drove it down the road and it over heated for like a few seconds what happened ? did the thermostat stick ?

You probably have air in the sytem. Whenever you service your cooling system you need to let the car heat up and make sure your fans turn on and off. If you notice the car heating up to fast you have air in there. Be careful and relieve some air by opening the cap. Don't just pop it off if it's hot. Turn slowly. Anyways start it up with the cap off and fill up the radiator as needed.

oh okay thats probably what i did wrong i should have posted on here before i did that i guess but it is running fine now it just ran hot for a few seconds then cooled down really quick
