Chips, no dip
Does anyone know of any piggyback chips for a 98-02 Ls1 6M. All I can find are tuners/programmers except for one Jet chip that doesnt give too much info. Has anyone had any luck with these? Feel free to offer more suggestions, I'm cheap but would like to go faster (1/4 et)
Thanks guys

Thanks, after realizing how stupid I am, I think I'll go hang myself, if that doesnt work a bath with the toaster will. Besides the point, is tuning a modless ls1 worth it, all I have are headers and intake? how much gain would I really see?

Don't be so hard on yourself man. Not a big deal. Now you know more than you did before right? If you plan on more mods in the near future (heads, cam, n20, etc.) then I would hold off on the tune. You should pick up some power with a tune as you sit right now though. Just depends on if you want to shell out the money for it. I have been running untuned on the same mods as you and am getting ready to install a cam. So I am waiting for that before I get a tune. Hope this helps.

even bone stock you will gain power with a tune....
with simple intake, headers, exhaust you could see more...possibly 15rwhp according to what some tuners have told me.
before you do it though, spend a few bucks and get a lower temp stat and have the fans reprogrammed during the tune...will help keep things cool.
mail orders are good, but a good street or dyno tune is better
