Default Which highflow cats???

I'm about to get some pacesetter LT's with the ORY installed and wanted to know which highflow cats to go with. Magnaflow makes some that's about 70 bucks a piece. Are there any others in that price range or lower??

I'm going to have my 59959's put on tomarrow. They are the only ones that will fit my x-pipe so i really had no choice, but they are also some of the highest flowing ones out there.

Don't buy your cats based on price! Some of the cheap generic brands are called high flow cats but flow worse than the stock cats. If the manufacturer doesn't give you any flow numbers in CFM, walk away. It would be silly to choke off your expensive exhaust system with some poor flowing cats.

I bought the Magnaflow ones that QTP sells on their site, the guy that made my Y-pipe welded them directly to the end of the HVMC, so of course they melted down and clogged up. If you run cats make sure you know where you want them put.

Default I have been researching this for weeks i have your answer

first of all dont by a cat based on brand name look at how many cells per square inch that will tell you right what you need to know the average cat has 400 cells per square inch a good highflow will have 300 cells per square inch and another thing to consider is what kind of core a cat has ther are 3 types 1 ceramic 400 cells per square inch 2 metalliac 300 cells per square inch and is stronger than average cat 3 is the best for racing blowers nitrous turbo etc is metal core which usually have 300 cells per square inch.remember its basic the less cells the more flow and look around because you can end spending double the money for the same cat. i have found a great cat called thunder bolt its metalic core which is better than ceramic and has 300 cells per square inch. i paid $55 a piece for them from a web site called performance-curve .com. from my experience a stock motor fbody with headers a no cats runs like crap - mores noisy smelly and not as torquey in the mid range.

What do you recommend for someone with a cam, nitrous VERY free flowing exhaust (mid-lengths with flanges cut off, dual 3" y into 4" mufflex) who is trying to quite the car down, be somewhat environmentally friendly and NOT LOOSE too much power?

Got mine from Fast Toys and have been very happy. They had the best price too.
