Do all gen III have the same alternator?

When I look I see 97-02 only. I need an 04 ls6 alt. Can I get any year???

i wouldnt think they would be much different...unless one car a lot more power eletronic **** or lights all over it... lol find out what your alternator output is and i would just see if its the same as a 97-02, and if it is i dont see why there would be a problem...

i've heard the corvette is the most expensive due to the low number of vettes built compared to other ls series vehicles. and most alternators are clocked differently requiring you to get the alternator for the vehicle type you got the accessory drive setup from. if you need more amps than stock they are available, but you'll have to check some of the high end stereo gurus to find out where to get them.
