Mac header good deal?

Power is okay. Sound is okay. Price is good. I had them and with a crappy canned tune put down 334 RWHP. With a tune, and QTP HVMCs, on the same dyno, put down 30+ more.
In my experience, my MACs were a PITA to install. I'd say to save some money on some Pacesetters or Hookers and use those.

Really a pain to install, I read they were one of the easier ones to install. Sorry to ask this next question but what excatly does "rasp" sound like? Is a kind of drone on when on the highway? I read with SLP Loudmouth and headers with no cats the rasp is really bad

Every set of macs i've installed were easy as pie.
Will they make the most power? probably not. Are they worth it? I think so but you'll hear many tell you they are junk.
I made 399rwhp with them so IMHO they are just fine.
