Default #7 Misfire?

It doesn't do it all the time. Sometimes at idle or when taking off. Not all the time though. When I run it hard on the hwy and finally let off, my exhaust pops and bangs. What da hell? I've swapped plug and wire, any ideas?

tried swapping coil packs to see if it follows?

lol damn! That's my next move. De De DEE! I just keep hearing all about the bad #7 cylinder getting jacked up. Wondering if they were common concerns.

what year is your TA and do you have an LS6 intake?

can a 02 sensor being bad cause the back fire when you let off after you run it hard?

It's a 99 and I guess I should have mentioned it has + 211,000 miles. lol No ls6 intake, stock ls1. As far as an O2 sensor causing it to backfire...IDK. Noticed it started to do that when the #7 started missing. Of course all of this after I had my heads removed and did a valve job with new seats. Maybe I should get new heads? lol

Another option....

Pull the #7 plug.... see if she appears to be "oilly" LSx motors have a substancial blow by... puddles in the intake and appears to hang around #7... just a thought.

Whats the fix for this. I have a 2000 TA w/ LS1 intake and have misfire issues. I am thinking that fixing this might be my next step. Would getting the LS6 intake help this?
