Default Header install: runs like ****

Just got done installing my headers and it kinda runs like crap now. First off it is open header until I can get to an exhaust shop. Not to sure if this is why, but I think it might have something to do with it. I havent had a chance to check the plugs/wires so cant rule that out. Also the rear o2's are not plugged in, nor do I have sims on it. The check engine light is also flashing. Any help will be appreciated.

Yeah thats what I thought. I thought about it to late, but I should have put the y-pipe on and just moved the I-pipe out of the way.

I'd highly suggest to check the plugs and wires. Not having the rear O2's will definitely throw a code, but it won't make the SES light flash on and off. It almost sounds like some of the wires aren't connected.

blinking SES means Missfire. Get some new plugs and check the wires. It doesn't take much to hit a plug during a LT install and crack the porcelain on the plug.

How did you do the install? through the top or bottom. I saw a write-up on here were they explained how to install Mac Mids from the top, but it requires removing the coil packs, if so, check the connector. I had it come loose on me once and the same thing happened.

Just a suggestion.

Autozone or advanced auto. TR55's are stock# 3951 and TR6's are stock# 4177

Not like NGK's are some special plug or something.

Pull all your wires off and make sure they click twice when you put them back on. I developed a misfire about 500 miles after my LT install because the wire had just wiggled its way off of the plug. I just took them all off and put them back on with a little bit of die electric grease and car has been running fine for over 8K miles now.
