Question about FTP lid and SLP MAF

Just talked to Fast Toys and SLP. Unfortunately, the SLP 85mm MAF has to have the IAT connector in the lid (or somewhere forward of the MAF), so the neat Fast Toys connector won't solve our problem with that particular MAF. Too bad, 'cause it makes a much tidier installation, and the Fast Toys Lid is really way too pretty to have to drill holes in!

I have the FTP lid & SLP 85mm MAF .... My installer/tuner tucked the IAT sensor under the lid; works the same.

why cant you just use the sensor that is built into the maf..

the only reason the slp maf wouldent be able to read the air temps would be if slp used a maf that didnt have it built in.. the majority of 85mm mafs have built in temp sensors so with the correct adapter harness it should work fine

I put the IAT sensor away from the the radiator heat. I add wire and mounted the stock sensor lower so it would not get hot when the car was not moving. The sensor should not heat soak. If you get a 85 mm MAF get a tune. Ur current one will be way off.

SO the MAF adpater harness worked with your SLP MAF to enable to the built in IAT? Were you able to verify it was working with a scan tool?
