true duals with this muffler?

was thinking about this... could we use this muffler in place of the x merge in a TD set up. that would kill 2 birds with one stone, the x and mufflers. the only problem i could see is ground clearance.... 5"x8" case...

any thoughts on this? any one ever done it?

way way to big

now that would be an excellent choice in the stock muffler location to use with true duals over the axle on the passenger side

way too big already thought about doing it and it's a straight through not an actual x inside this one. They have a different brand that has an x through it but don't remember which one.

ya i was refering to the one with the x built into it. they also make one that has a 4x9 case... but it only has 2.5" outlets. figured it could be worth a shot to try, and maybe give a unique sound

I'd be interested to hear the sound of that. I bet you could run TD's over the axle and fit it somewhere near the stock location. I'm betting it would sound pretty mean.

My friend has a the SLP dual in/ dual out muffer on his 93' z.. It's a true dual set-up over the axle that has both pipes on the left. Here's a quick vid of it, pretty quiet dual set-up.

I was assuming that was going to be used in place of the cross-section? Good thinking, but that is a terrible spot for clearance. It may work well on a truck however.
