Default difference in 98 99-02 oil sending unit

Well I got my ls1 intake off and broke the sending unit, I guess I was too careful with it.lol
I know I need a new one, but I got a sending unit off a 2002 LS1, but noticed that it only has 1 pin connector, and mine (the broken one has 2 pin connector's) does anyone know if it'll will still work? The connector has 2 insert's for a 2 pin.

LMK ASAP working on the car, and everyone is out of them.

Anybody know if I can use the oil sending pressure unit from a 2002 on my 98?
Please help ASAP
Also what if I wernt' to connect the sensor would I just not have a reading, would a get a S.E.S.?
What about the knock senors, should I replace them with the one's on the 02 motor I have? And will that harness work with my 98?
Another thing, I noticed some people say you need new gasket's. I didn't see any gaskets in my 98 when taking off the intake or neither on the 2002? Or are people talking about the gasktes on the intake ports?

Sorry dude 98s have REAL WORKING GUAGES!!! NO it won't work. Get you a 98 sending unit. 2000-2002 guages are nothing more than Idiot lights and don't read accurately. Your car has the vette sensors on it. Your water temp sensor has 3 pins too!

The water temp works properly on a 98, yes, but the oil pressure on all cars (98-02) is accurate (not a dummy gauge).

What about the intake manifold gaskets, I read some people on here change them, but when removing the intakes I didn't see a gasket anywhere... Only the ones on the intake port holes. WHere is the gasket located?

The orange rings you saw are the intake gaskets its all thats required. If your old gaskets look fine use them but added insurance they are cheap just get a new set and dont worry about them. If you look at the 98 sensor compared to 99 sensor the 98 have only 2 prongs on the sensor and 99 have 3. They will and DO NOT INTERCHANGE AT ALL. And whatever you do do not get an OP sending unit form napa or autozone, go the dealer. TRUST ME. And as stated the 98 is accurate temp gauge the 99 and up are not. So get your year specific stuff from dealer you wont regret.
