Default Need to quiet down my car.

I have Jet Hot header, a Hooker Y and a Magnaflow cat back. The Magna flow sounded sweet before the headers and off road Y. It had a beautiful deep hum and no rasp. Now I get a nasty rasp between2500 and 3500 RPMs. Last night I drove out 3 or 4 miles out in the country and stomped on it. When I got back my buddy said he could hear me from outside my house. What do you think, CATS or new Y.

Kill the CATs!

My friends Magnaflow was louder than my TD setup and no cats.

Check out the SLP Dual/Dual setup. It's quiet and flows great.

An edelbrock catback with a cutout somewhere in the mix was what I intend to do if my car gets too loud with the KOOKs headers I ordered. It isnt the best flowing CB, probably just a little better than stock, but it will keep the noise down. Then I can just flip the switch and **** a few people off whenever needed.

As long as your not getting busted by the PO-lice I guess it doesn't really matter, unless it's really unbearable.

Dual Dual vote here.Love mine with HOOKER LT's,and no cats.Had a Whisper Motorsports cat back before the SLP.A little too loud for my tastes, sounded nasty.Every time the rasp/glasspack sound kicked in I kept waiting for someone to throw a cord of wood on the back!
