Are u saying u want to use the rear o2's and harness in place of the front o2's. If so, you can't do it like that. The rear o2's are only used to monitor the efficiency of your cats. The front o2's are what control your a/f. Just get 24" extentions for the front o2's or extend the front o2's your self.

Yeah, the rear 02 sensors are just there to see if the cats are working right. You need the 02s plugged into the front harnesses or you'll run open loop, which is no fun, believe me.

You could probably jimmy up something if you're really tight on cash. It shouldn't be too hard. Just make sure the right wires go into the right holes and get it heat resistant for the exhaust. 24" extensions are just easier cause you buy em and plug em in without worrying about frying stuff.

I used the wiring supplied by pacesetter to splice the wires and make them longer. I did this like 13 months ago and i haven't had any issues

You are asking about two different things. First you asked if you need O2 extension and then you asked if you could put the rear O2's in the front.

As far as the extensions the headers will come with the stuff to splice them. If you are some what capable of splicing then it will work just fine but O2 sensors are very sensitive to changes in voltage that could result from incorrect splicing. If you are not capable of splicing then yes, extensions are your only other option. Some people like the 12" and some people like the 24". I personally would rather have too much than not enough and if there is a little extra you can just zip tie it out of the way.

Moving on to the O2 sensors being moved around, I'm not sure what you are asking. If you are asking if both the rears and fronts are the same part number then yes they are. If you are asking if you need the rear O2 sensors, the answer is no. The front O2 sensors are required for the vehicle to run as they monitor the exhaust to determine spark advance, more air, more fuel, less air, less fuel etc....the rear O2 sensors are for emissions only and measure how well the cats are doing their jobs and if they aren't they set off a CEL. The rears in no way affect the actual operation of the car.

Sorry but you make absolutely no sense, you dont want to buy the extensions if you dont have to, but then if your "splicing" job doesnt go so well you will just buy vette o2's at $75 a piece
