Default Throttle cable adjustment...without TCS

My throttle cable has been loose since i installed my ported throttle body. Its really annoying and makes the car jump forward when leaving stoplights I dont have traction control so there isn't a little box for me to adjust the cable. The cable runs from the TB and over the back of the intake. I can't find any info on this other than "shorten the cable"...any ideas?

EDIT: For anyone searching for this..

I took off the kick panel and put 3 zip ties on the cable(the head of the zip tie acts as a spacer) and it took care of the problem

decided to improvise and rigged something up. I took off the kick panel and put 3 zip ties on the cable(the head of the zip tie acts as a spacer). It took care of the problem

Thats funny, well how you rigged it I mean. lol

I'm not 100% sure but I think that I've heard there is an adjustment for it by/below the brake booster. Again, not sure.

Peace,
Craig.

I'll get some tomorrow after work if i remember...its pretty easy though...the panel right below the steering wheel has 2 screws and two bolts. Take the panel out. Then the panel that is farther under the dash just has two plastic pins that you pop out. With those removed you will be able to see where your throttle cable connects to the pedal. Pull the cable towards you and put as many zipties as needed so that the cable has little to no slack. Cut off the excess part of the zipties

Just had this problem bud...I installed the ported TB and cable was about a half inch too long. Your shaft is different on the ported one than your stock one. I ended up modding the stock shaft in mine and installing it in the ported TB and it worked perfect. In my case I had slack and could not hit WOT.

Also...I read about some adjustments but never found them.

I recently swapped on non-TCS cables and they are all
nonadjustable.

The zip-tie method seems good, the gas pedal is also
very easy to remove and you can bend it in a vise
with a piece of pipe for leverage.
