Bigger injectors needed for this??
Bigger injectors needed for this?? I have a 99 SS A4. I will have a MS3 cam (237/242), Ported LS6 heads, and a LS6 intake, ported TB. Should I upgrade my fuel system? i think i currently have 26lb injectors...
I would think so but you can try them. I had 2002 LS6 28.8lb injectors with stock LS6 heads and mine where just about maxed out. You will have to have your computer tuned for the cam and the injectors.
If you're on the stock 26lb injectors, then you really should upgrade. I have a fast 90/90, ported ls6 heads and a mid 230's cam. I was above 100% injector duty cycle on my stock 26lb injectors with that combo.
Well, with that combo you certainly wouldn't run out of fuel. I was gonna suggest the 30# SVO's. They are rated about 6# more in the LSx cars so it is around 35-36# low impedence. I saw around 117% with ported 241's, 244/248 cam, and full bolt-on's. I still have yet to have the time to actually order some bigger injectors, but I don't drive my car but every once in a blue moon either and it is usually 1/4 throttle at best these days.
