Okay so the data is there. Looks like total is about 18 HP 1 7/8" headers to F manifolds:

The amazing performance of the stock iron Vette manifolds prompted us to test a set of iron F-car manifolds, which are significantly different from the Vette pieces. Here, the performance was dramatically down, dropping an average 9 hp, 9 lb-ft of torque, and 12 peak horsepower compared to the Vette manifolds. Clearly, there is a significant difference between the two iron manifolds. If the Vette manifolds will work in your chassis, there's much to be said for these off-the-shelf pieces.

Anyone know if the Vette manifolds can be made to fit?

Anything can be made to fit, it comes down to how much time, trouble, and expense do you want to expend.

I'm not a manifoldologist but I did read that the 01-02's had better manifolds. Could they be the Vette manifolds?

I tried to look up that number of the Vette manifold in the picture and got nothing. I don't know what year that is and they didn't mention it or the part number in the article.

The 01-02 manifolds are better, but mostly because of the revised catalytic convertors. The overall shape of the manifold did not change, but the material did, cast vs stamped and welded. When the ZO6 arrived in 2001 the biggest revision to the exhaust was the cats, they flowed almost twice as much CFM as the previous cats, and GM secretly put these revised cats on all the ls1 cars. If you look at the vette vs. f body manifold only you will see why the flow so well, they are basically a cast shorty header. The new LS& manifolds are even better, but good luck getting them to fit an f body chassis.

I just wonder if you could do LT's right into the factory exhaust and it work good?

I just wonder if anyone considered the fact that LT's sound 15928035 times better than manifolds? Personally, I would consider putting them on even if they took away 10hp compared to stock manifolds.
