Default Quite bullet muffler?

So tonight I got popped for having modified exhaust, and have decided to tone it down. But I couldnt find in the search what is quieter between the magnamouth or borlamouth. I want something that would make me less noticeable than my LM2 setup. Again, couldnt find it in the search.

A)Magnamouth - What part number to buy?
B)Borlamouth - XR1 right?

Any other options welcome, but please have some experience with them and no "ive read" or "ive heard" posts please.

Borla and Magnaflow are the same thing. XR1 is a race muffer don't think that is what you are looking for. Did you check out the Sticky sound clips?

I changed to a borlamouth about 2 weeks ago. It is a lot quieter than the lm. Check my sound clips.

Sounds good, but the first video seems loud. When cruising around is it pretty quite? I know its a bullet and its going to be louder than a chambered exhaust is. But compared to the LM2 setup is it a LOT better?

Trust me it is a very big difference when going from a lm to this. I still haven't got used to how quiet it is. My camera makes everything louder but it is not obnoxious like the lm

If you wanted to try the Magnaflow, the part number should be 14419. I have two of them on my true dual setup and it's still quieter than the LM I had. Until you put the hammer down

I can't say which one is more quiet, but I do have a Bora-Mouth and love it. I also did have no XR1, just straight up Loudmouth when I was heads/cam and 427 and it was LOUD! XR1 does bring the tone down alot.

The Borla XR1 that I used is #40085, and I assume others used same part number. I don't think any sponsors carry them so I shopped Jegs and Summit. Summit was cheaper, and so was their shipping/handling. Since they're not a sponsor I can't post their cost but you can simply shop for youself.

Hope that helps you,
Craig.

I rocked the borla-mouth for a while. I loved the sound. I dont remember if it had any rasp to it or not. The reason that I switched was because I got really tired of my tsp catted Y... and a bunch of leak issues.

I am not going to vote because I havent heard a magnamouth in person... so my vote really serves you no good.

I will, however, say that whichever you go with, you should go ahead and have everything welded up with some flanges on both ends of the muffler. That way you can remove it as needed, and be leak free. U clamps suck, especially since you have to use eleventyfive of them.
