Default What is the best sounding exhaust?

Borla,SLP,Hooker ect.. I want a good sound.I don't want to hack off the mufflers and go with straight pipes.. Is there anything that sounds louder, more rumble than stock?

+1 on the SLP

I love the way my SLP Loudmouth1 sounds. A lot of guys say its too loud when coupled with LTs. If you plan on goin that route maybe magnaflow. Both of those can be found between 380-450 and are stainless.

This might help you out too

This is why I like my SLP LM1....THE FLOW haha!!! Its the resonator/muffler

well the 305 and the Ls1 do not sound alike.. at all.. so that should be a basis to start from. the 305 is a low compression boat anchor with restrictive heads.

i had an 89 formula 350 with flowtech muffler, dynomax cats and full length edlebrock headers.. my stock LS1 with SLP is louder.

SLP Loud Mouth Features:
Includes SLP's infamous Loud Mouth resonator for virtually zero flow restriction and the meanest sound around.

Is the resonator the way to go? Is it louder than the loudmouth 1?

LSXs sound different from GEN I and II SBC, so to get a good idea of what you want, find out what 86-97 350s sound like. Then take it down a notch. 305 and 350 (stock for stock) don't sound all that different really.
