Did you guys remove the fuel injectors or remove the fuel rail? I see the quick disconnect and they clain you need a special tool to disconnect it. Fast 92 install.

Glad you found it was as easy as bending the coolant tube out of the way. Enjoy the intake!!

Ya, you have to swap themover to the new intake. And you can pick up the disconnect tool at most parts stores.

damnit, I thought I could get that clip out without the tool. I was wrong. I broke it. Dang it.

Anyways, I have one more question for you guys, on the MAP sensor on the back of the intake... There is no plastic clip on the side to hold the MAP in place. They say it is a "revision". I dont see how in the hell it will stay in the intake?

I guess Im gonna have to go to my Ponitac stealership and get a new fuel line clip, silly me for trying without the tool.

Thanks for any help guys.

Alright, I just had in on there and had the same problems the OP had. It did not sit down completely. I moved the coolant crossover line more than enough down. Now I am thinking the wires sitting on top of the valley are getting in the way. There are no clips. Are you guys talking about these wires? Taping them down and maybe to the sides with duck tape? I see where the wires had been slightly pushed on by the intake. Its for sure my problem area. ANy help ASAP would be great.

Tape the wires to the sides???

I just made sure they were as flat as possible(- clips) and taped them down real good in several places. As far as the MAP Sensor goes, my engine builder took a piece of metal an bent into an s shape (guess would be about 4-5 inches long) and made a spacer to fit between the bolt behind the MAP sensor and the intake( guess about 1 1/2 long) it bolts down and no worries about it coming out or leaking.
Make sure none of your injector wires or the vacuum line are pinched underneath the intake as well.

Damnit, I can not for the life of me get this thing to lay flat. I tape the wires as best as I could.

Did you separate the wires and tape them individually? I so want this to lay flat. I suppose im going to take it back off again. Thanks for your reply.

Well, I put some anti seize on top of the bolts to see if there in lied my problem. I set the intake on... and the damn valley cover bolts are hitting the bottom of the intake.

Is it possible I have after market valley cover bolts that are higher than stock? I am out of options.
