Default one more question on exhaust please

hey guys ,is there any exhaust that sounds stock that i can upgrade to that will give me better flow and give me a little more hp?my better half said i could do whatever to the camaro, but keep it quiet.so a stall,mt drag radials and nitrous and everything else original im going 11.86 at 114, but i think the exhaust is holding me back especially with the bottle.headers are out,but the only other thing i can do is a cutout when i go to the track.she didn't even like the magnaflow and it wasen't that bad .what the hell!!!thanks guys

Headers with the stock catback will still be very quiet. Then get a cutout in the stock catback that you can open when she's not around. Oh and get a better better-half.

Has she heard magnaflow on a stock car? I think it's pretty damn quiet unless you're running some headers or no cats.

thanks guys for the good ideas.when i bought the car i told her i was gonna leave it stock until i got on ls1 tech.didn't know about the header thing with a stock cat back.kinda getting used to the quiet sleeper type car.my street driven s-10 454 was a cop magnet running 11.50's,so i'm pretty happy about having ac,overdrive, and can drive to the track 1.5 hours away and run 11.80's.guess i'm gonna have to put the 125 horse nitrous jets in .

My Hooker Catback is really quiet, like stock quiet. You can barely hear it at idle. I bought a cutout and just need to get it welded in though, then I can be loud when I want or really quiet. Granted, I went with the hooker system because it sounds really nice and peps up with Headers and ORY which I plan to do soon enough. Right now, It's actually annoying to me how quiet it is. I was hoping to be loud and raucous, but still sound good. That's why a cutout is your friend since you're not getting headers.

Also, guys have reported only losing 2 rwhp to a Hooker Catback over an open cutout, which means it flows with the best of them

Hooker LTs, Hooker y, no cats, and hooker cb here, tame at idle, but when u break 1200 rpm it gets loud, and at WOT ive been told it sounds like a vette on steroids.

Don't waste your money on hooker's. Go for the EBay LT's for 190 and a custom Y. Guy in the previous thread picked up 31rwhp with them.

Try it for yourself. I've had it on a couple different cars. Your ol lady probably won't even notice the difference.

Honestly, I couldn't pinpoint any real power difference, maybe a little, but again I'm on stock manifolds and cats. Sound wise, it sounds really deep and throaty, no rasp at all. I just wish it was louder. Overall, I would recommend it unless you're gonna stay with stock manifolds in which case I would go with something like the loudmouth/borla/gmmg etc. You can't beat the price of the hooker though (cheap hooker )!

Trade in on your better half for a set of stainless headers doesn't seem to crazy too me.

The Gibson catback sounds good but not too loud.
