Default Can you ID this engine from pics?

They're out of an ad that says it's an LS1 but it's obviously got an iron block and is not.
The guy said he dosn't know (anything I asked him).
I asked if it had 4.8/5.3 on the pass side rear where the trans mount and he didn't know.
I'd go look but hes over two hours away.
Any guesses on the pics as to what this is?

Looks like a truck motor to me from what I can see of that intake. I would say it is a Vortech from what I can see. A big picture would help.

If you click on them they get bigger, at this point it says 0 views so I'm assuming you didn't click on them. None the less, they are still kind of small.

Basically I'm trying to find out if it could be a 6.0
I found one pic of a 6.0 on google and it had the same intake. But yet pics I found of the 4.8 and 5.3 had the plastic covers on them.

FE block would be one indication that it could be a 6 liter.

He can't give you any numbers off of the block at all? Heck, just get the casting on the heads.

Sorry, I tried posting them like that but couldn't, I know they're small. Guess theres no dead give away to tell from them, I didn't expect much from the crappy pic, I'm sorry about that.

He was either BS'ing me or was stupid and don't know what he has, I'll see if I can get some more info from him.

He's asking $1000 for that, assuming if it was in working order is that a good price for a 6.0, if it is I might drive the distance to look.

It could be a 6.0 truck motor. It looks like one. Ask if the head casting number says 317.
