4" Merge on a PaceSetter ORY with Pics
I am about to move into a neighborhood up in Knoxville where I figured no one would like the sound of my dump truck Z firing up every morning. So, I put the hooker tailpipes back on (without any tips) and WOW! The sound of the dumped exhaust completely hid the true sound difference that the 4" merge created. I'll get a sound clip up soon if I can, but I dont think that it will do justice to how much the sound changed from before my tailpipe-less days. I remember it being quiet, and not really unique. That is not the case anymore. The 4" Merge gave it a very deep and rich sound all the way thru the RPM band. You could even describe it as being a little exotic sounding. The dumped setup before definitely hid all of the "tone." I seriously recommend doing this to your paceSetter ORY.
I have Pacesetter LT's this is my plan I want it all in 3"
LT -> Dual 3" cutouts -> Flowmaster 3" merge -> 3" I pipe
I was wondering if I found a QTP Y-pipe how much work would it take to match it up to Pacesetter LT's? Is it pretty easy or am I better off just making my own from scratch?
thanks guys.

I have Pacesetters, TSP ORY and a hooker catback and I like how it sounds. But I'm also battling leaks but mine are at the merge. So I'm going to be doing the exact thing you did come spring time.
Also if you don't mind me asking how much did the shop charge you to weld that up with the mandrel bends they supplied?

I know what you mean about the pacesetter merge hole. When I pulled my Y pipe off to repaint it and such, I noticed the inside of my merge looked exactly the same as yours. At the time, I didnt know how to clean out the hole bigger so I just said f-it and threw it back on like that....'
now I regret it.
My biggest problem though is that my driverside pacesetter aims up at the floorboard a little so a little more custom work is needed to contour it to the floorboard, anyone else's pacesetters do this?
I still think I'd rather have just a 4" to the rear. The 3" pipe still harbors the raspy revving fbody sound.
